Okta App Launcher gives you a wide, keyboard-first popup for the Okta apps assigned to you — built for people with long, near-identical app names that the stock Okta plugin truncates. WHY The official Okta browser plugin popup is narrow (~450px), so apps that share a long prefix get cut off and look identical: Observability - eu-west-1 - Application Troub… Observability - eu-west-1 - Application Monit… This launcher shows the full name and lets you fuzzy-search across it. SEARCH THAT ACTUALLY FINDS THINGS Type multiple terms in any order — every term must match, so you narrow fast: aws prod → AWS Console - Production obs eu trou → Observability - eu-west-1 - Application Troubleshooting Matches are highlighted, word-boundary and contiguous hits rank first. An Okta-home button opens your Okta dashboard; the ⤢ button opens the same list in a full-width tab when 800px isn't enough; the ⚙ button opens settings to change your Okta domain. HOW IT WORKS / PRIVACY • Reads your assigned apps from your own Okta org via GET /api/v1/users/me/appLinks, using your existing Okta session cookie. No passwords, no API tokens, no admin access. • You configure your Okta domain (e.g. yourorg.okta.com) on first run; the extension only ever talks to that domain. • The app list is cached locally (chrome.storage.local) so the popup opens instantly, and refreshes in the background each time you open it. • Your domain setting syncs via chrome.storage.sync. Nothing is sent anywhere except to your own Okta org — there is no third-party server. Works with Okta orgs on okta.com. Requires an active Okta session in the same browser profile.
