DeepBreath

A calm 60-second breathing pause before checkout, to interrupt impulse purchases.

DeepBreath adds a calm breathing pause before you check out online, then shows you what's at stake, so the money you spend is money you decided to spend. Impulse buys happen in seconds. DeepBreath gives you a minute back. When you reach a checkout page, a gentle breathing exercise appears: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, breathe out for 6. Then you see the order total and how it compares with a goal you chose, and you decide: Not today, or Continue to checkout. HOW IT WORKS • Recognizes checkout pages on major e-commerce marketplaces and most online shops • Works with modern stores that change pages without reloading • No skip button. The timer only runs while you're on the tab • After you continue, that site stays unlocked for 10 minutes so multi-step checkouts flow through • Turning DeepBreath off takes one breathing exercise too, so it isn't switched off on the same impulse it's there to pause SEE THE MONEY BEFORE YOU CHOOSE • The order total is read from the checkout page and shown as an estimate you can edit • Set a goal (a trip, a laptop) and see how much closer "Not today" gets you • Optional: see a purchase as hours of work • "Not today" adds your estimate to your Vault, the money you kept • Amounts appear in your own currency and number format, including ₹ with lakh grouping • An optional one-tap "Why now?" (bored, tired, stressed, celebrating, need it, craving) YOUR PACE • Pause length: 15, 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds • Turn "Why now?" on or off • Adjustable grace period • Add your own checkout pages, or exclude sites (there's a shortcut to Settings right after each pause) • See your estimated money kept and your goal in the popup • Export your data as a JSON file PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything stays on your device, including the order totals DeepBreath reads • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads • Nothing is collected, sold or sent anywhere CALM AND ACCESSIBLE • Full keyboard support and screen-reader announcements • Respects your system's reduced-motion setting Made by Better Habit Studio.
