Good News Only
Overview
Hides distressing news (death, violence, disasters, etc.) so your feeds show only the lighter stuff. Fully customizable.
Tired of doomscrolling? Good News Only quietly hides the heaviest headlines so your feeds feel lighter. It scans the pages you visit and blurs or hides stories about death, violence, war, disasters and more — on any site, including infinite-scroll feeds. WHAT IT DOES • Presets — choose Light, Balanced, or Zen, or fine-tune 7 categories yourself. • Your call — blur distressing stories (click to reveal) or hide them completely. • Blur styles — frosted, solid color, or pixelated, with adjustable intensity. • Track your impact — see how many items you've skipped today, this week, and all time, with daily streaks. • Stay in control — pause filtering on any site, and add your own words. • Tunable — if a word like "shooting" hides sports stories, allow it in one tap. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything runs locally in your browser. No accounts, no servers, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device. Your settings sync only through your own browser account. Filtering is automatically turned off on search engines and video sites, where it isn't useful. Toggle the whole thing on or off anytime with Alt+Shift+G.
