Overview
Find images with missing alt text or camera filenames on any page, then send them to PixelRank to be renamed and described.
PixelRank audits the images on any web page and tells you which ones need work. Click the toolbar icon and you get a count of every image on the page, how many are missing alt text, and how many still carry a filename the camera or the screenshot tool wrote — DSC_1553.jpg, IMG_4087.jpg, Screenshot 2026-03-11 at 09.42.18.png. Each image is listed with a thumbnail, its current filename, its dimensions, and a tag for what is wrong with it. Pick the ones you want fixed and press Send. They open in PixelRank with the images already loaded, where AI reads each picture and writes a descriptive filename, alt text, an image title and a longer description. You review everything before downloading. WHAT IT IS FOR • Publishers and e-commerce teams checking their own pages before launch • Agencies auditing a client site's image metadata in seconds • Anyone who has inherited a media library full of IMG_0001.jpg HOW IT WORKS • Click the icon on any page to audit its images • Or right-click a single image and choose "Rename this image with PixelRank" • Selected images open in the PixelRank uploader through your own signed-in session PRIVACY The audit runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded while you are looking at the list. Permission to read images from other websites is optional and requested only when you press Send, never at install. Only the images you choose are sent, and they go to your own PixelRank account. LIMITS JPG, PNG and WebP up to 5 MB each, 20 images per send. A free PixelRank account covers 10 images per month; paid plans cover more. Images under 120x120 pixels are ignored. PixelRank is at https://image-seo.net — the extension is a companion to it, and a free account is required to process images.
