ART - Accessibility Review Tool helps accessibility reviewers, content teams, developers, and QA testers review image accessibility signals on the current web page. The first release focuses on images. ART scans the active page when you choose to run it, then presents image-related findings in a compact popup and a fuller results view. It helps you review missing alt text, empty alt text, accessible-name-related signals, image context, source details, and related markup so you can make better manual accessibility decisions. ART is a focused review assistant, not a replacement for human judgement or a full WCAG audit. Automated checks can identify useful signals, but reviewers still need to decide whether an image is meaningful, decorative, redundant, linked, part of a control, or otherwise context-dependent. Key features: - Scan the active page on demand. - Review image accessibility findings in the extension popup. - Open a full results view for a more detailed review. - Filter and refine findings by result type and context. - Inspect image previews, file and source details, and related markup where available. - Use in-page markers to connect eligible findings to images on the original page. - Copy source and related markup snippets for investigation. - Keep recent scan data locally in the browser for convenience. Privacy and data handling: ART runs locally in the browser. The current Free-only release does not require an account, upload normal scan results to a backend, use remote code, or sell or transfer user data. Scan data is generated from the active page after the user runs the extension and is stored locally only where needed for recent-scan convenience. Current focus: This launch focuses on image accessibility review. Broader accessibility review areas may be added in future versions, but they are not part of the first release.
