Workaround for incognito tab not opening

macOS High Sierra: Version 10.13.6
Chrome: Version 69.0.3497.92 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Tab does not open as incognito with the following setting
"The incognito tab should open: Maximized (Default)"
changing the setting to "Normal" fixes the problem, the incognito tab opens in the same size as the existing non-incognito tab

Broken now

Chrome 69.0.3497.81 breaks it.

Cookies

Does it remove all cookies used by that tab too, when I send it to incognito mode?

History recovers when window reopens

While initially opening a tab in incognito will have it removed from history, upon closing all the browser windows then launching chrome again, history will be added back for some strange reason...

if you have only 1 tab closes everything

if you have only 1 tab open and you go incognito it closes everything and opens nothing! running xp i know but this seems a major bug!!
