Overview

Organizes Whatnot live chat into buyer threads and an unanswered-question queue in the Chrome side panel.

Never miss a buyer's question in your Whatnot live chat. ChatCaddy opens in Chrome's side panel next to your Whatnot show and turns a fast-moving chat into something you can actually keep up with — whether you're the seller, a moderator, or running a support show. • Unanswered-question queue — questions land in a queue, oldest first, so nothing slips past while you're talking about an item. Check them off as answered, dismiss them, or jump straight to a reply. • Color-coded chat — each message type gets its own color (product, shipping, price, giveaway, chatter and more), in a colorblind-friendly palette across the queue and threads. • Buyer threads — every chatter gets their own thread, so you can see what someone asked earlier without scrolling back through the whole chat. Search threads by name or message text. • Expand context — see the messages around any message to understand what it was replying to. • Reply and post from the panel — type a message and send it to your Whatnot chat with Enter, post a pinned /announce, or send a mod-only /hide, all without leaving the panel. Emoji picker included. • Saved messages — keep your common replies one click away, grouped into categories (like raid thanks or giveaway winner). Use {username} and it fills in the right person automatically. • Raid and host alerts — a banner when someone raids your show (one click thanks them), plus alerts for red-chat and mod messages aimed at you. • Floating window — prefer not to use the side panel, or on a smaller screen? Pop ChatCaddy out as a movable, resizable window right on the show page, collapsible to a draggable bubble. On a small host dashboard window it opens automatically, so nothing ever squeezes your broadcast. • Bookmark all shows — on a seller's profile page, one click bookmarks their upcoming shows for you, skipping any you've already saved. Free bookmarks 8 per run; Pro bookmarks them all. • Chat heat — the flame in the header glows as reactions pour in, with a live intensity strip, a per-viewer heat list, and an alert when someone hits a reaction milestone. • Giveaway tracker — every giveaway gets a card with the prize, rules, countdown and live entry count, then a winner reveal with the full entrant list (one-click copy) and a badge on the winner's thread. • Tip alerts — a green banner the moment someone tips the host, with the amount and their note. • Favorite Sellers (Pro) — star sellers from their profile view or the chat user menu; ChatCaddy tells you when a favorite arrives in your show, stars their messages on the Threads tab, and filters to just them. The list syncs to your account and survives a username change. • Leaderboard — a live top-10 of who's carrying your show (tips, heat milestones, giveaway entries, chat), with per-person score breakdowns and fully host-tunable point weights. Pro adds a season leaderboard of your favorite sellers across shows at chatcaddy.app/favorites. • Local timestamps on every message. Free (a free ChatCaddy account is required): buyer threads, the question queue, and rules-based question detection. On Free, your chat is never sent anywhere — it's organized entirely in your browser. Pro ($7/month or $70/year at chatcaddy.app): AI classification with no API key needed (up to 20,000 messages a month), cloud chat history and CSV export for every show you open, the synced Favorite Sellers list, and the season leaderboard. ChatCaddy is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Whatnot. Privacy policy: https://chatcaddy.app/privacy · Support: support@chatcaddy.app **Version notes:** v0.1.13: • **Live polls (Pro).** A host starts a vote from the side panel (a question plus yes/no, any-reply, or their own options). While the vote is open the extension tallies the already-captured chat messages locally, one vote per viewer. If the host's AI matching is on, messages that don't match an option by exact wording are sent to chatcaddy.app's existing classification endpoint (the same server-side AI the Pro question detection already uses), limited to the vote's duration and capped per vote. When the vote ends, its result (question, options, counts, and the usernames who voted for each option, plus the show id) is uploaded to the host's own ChatCaddy account, where the new "My shows" page at chatcaddy.app/shows displays it alongside the chat history the Pro plan already stores; saved poll definitions sync to the same account. The optional live card over the show page renders in a closed shadow root with only Stop/Dismiss controls, and the optional "post the question / results to chat" lines go through the existing composer send, each on a user click. Nothing is read from the page that was not read before. • **Favorite arrival alert (Pro).** The existing in-panel "favorite is here" alert now also fires on a favorite's first chat message, heat milestone or tip, not only on a "joined" line (large rooms show none). Same already-captured data, decided locally; nothing new is read or sent. • **Mod command fix.** On the regular show page, Whatnot applies /hide and /announce only after the box holds the bare command; the composer now enters that state before sending the text, instead of posting the command as plain chat. v0.1.12: • Queue: one action for a whole card. A buyer's open questions share one queue card. The card's checkbox (or the D key) now marks all of them answered, and Dismiss (or X) dismisses them all; Undo restores them together. Each nested question keeps its own check. • Capture fix. Deep into a show, new questions could stop arriving until you scrolled the Whatnot chat. Capture now keeps up on its own — no scroll, no reload. • Admin auto-capture. An Options switch, available only to ChatCaddy's own admin accounts, starts capture as soon as a show page opens. • No new permissions. Nothing new is read or sent. v0.1.11 • Always up to date. ChatCaddy now checks for updates itself and installs them between shows. Want it sooner? ⋯ menu → Check for updates. If an update arrives mid-show it waits, and Restart now tells you what a restart would interrupt first. • Host and mod awareness. /hide, /announce and the giveaway entrant list now appear only for the show's host and its moderators, and stay out of the way for everyone else. • Capture fix. Opening the panel before a show page finished loading could leave capture seeing only the messages you scrolled past. It now notices and recovers on its own. • No new permissions. Nothing new is sent. v0.1.10 • Live sales in the panel. The running auction with its high bid, every sale as it lands and again when payment clears, tips, and your show totals, with a live viewer counter in the stats header. Buyer badges call out new-to-Whatnot buyers and loyalty tier-ups. • Fixed: on long, busy shows (about an hour in) questions could vanish from the queue and reappear. Show sessions now have plenty of headroom and survive a full browser restart. • No new permissions. Nothing new is sent. v0.1.9 • Chat heat, giveaway tracker and tip alerts (see the feature list above). • Favorite Sellers (Pro). Star sellers, get told when they arrive, filter to just them. The list syncs to your account. • Leaderboard. A live top-10 of who's carrying your show, with host-tunable point weights. Pro adds a season leaderboard of your starred favorites at chatcaddy.app/favorites; for that, Pro accounts send per-show counters for your starred favorites only, never chat text and never other viewers. • Accessibility pass throughout, dismissible giveaway cards, a Favorite-sellers link in the panel menu, and all 28 heat emotes shown as emoji. • Fixed: a message could show up twice in the queue (especially the host's own). It is captured once now. • Giveaway, tip and heat-milestone events appear in Pro chat history and CSV export as system rows. • No new permissions. Free still sends nothing. v0.1.8 • A free ChatCaddy account is now required before chat is captured. The panel shows a Connect screen until this browser is connected. Free still organizes chat entirely in your browser. v0.1.7 • Capture fix. Messages could reach the panel minutes late whenever the chat wasn't scrolled to the bottom. They now arrive as they're posted. • Pop-out button in the panel header for the floating window. • Bookmark all shows on seller profile pages. Free bookmarks 8 per run; Pro bookmarks them all.
