Overview

Your favorite sites, one click away. Color-coded spaces, sync, and no developer telemetry.

Essentials puts the websites you actually use behind a single toolbar button, like a Dock for your browser. Click the icon and your sites are right there in a clean grid. One click to everything you use most, no more digging through bookmarks or hunting across a wall of tabs. ORGANIZE WITH SPACES Group your sites into color-coded spaces (Personal, Work, Side Project) and switch between them with a keystroke. Each space has its own name, two-letter label, and color. FAST BY DESIGN - A toolbar grid sized to your workflow, with the rows and columns you choose - Real keyboard shortcuts to open any site or toggle the popup - Add the current tab in one click, right-click any link to add it, or drag tiles to reorder - Click a tile to jump straight to that site's open tab, or open it fresh SYNCS BETWEEN INSTALLATIONS OF THE SAME BROWSER Sync is enabled by default, so your essentials follow you between desktop installations of the same browser using the same sync account. Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other supported browsers use separate sync services and do not sync Essentials data with one another. Turn sync off in Essentials Settings to keep that data in this browser installation only. Timing is controlled by your browser, and the developer does not receive the synced data. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No extension analytics or telemetry, no tracking, no separate Essentials account to create, and no developer-operated browsing-data backend. Essentials processes open-tab URLs and titles locally for launcher features. When you save a site, its URL and title remain on your device and, by default, in your browser account's extension sync storage. You can turn Essentials sync off in Settings to keep that data in this browser installation only. To display its icon, Essentials first uses the exact favicon Chrome reports for an open saved tab. Otherwise, it requests the saved page, conventional same-origin icon paths, and icon or manifest URLs supplied by the browser or website; those requests may follow website-controlled redirects. Chrome's browser-local favicon service is used only as a fallback when the website-supplied candidates do not resolve. Essentials does not use a developer-selected generic third-party favicon lookup. No browsing or favicon data is sent to the developer or any developer-operated service. Essentials does not read the visible content of the pages you browse. ONE-TIME PURCHASE, NO SUBSCRIPTION Start with a 14-day free trial, every feature unlocked. After the trial, buy once ($4.99) and keep it forever. You get a license key at checkout; enter it once in the extension and you are set. No subscription, ever. Questions? Write to support@essentialsforchrome.app and a real person will reply.
