DriftGuard — Mindful Browsing Nudge
Overview
Sites you choose gently fade the longer you stay — a mindful nudge to move on, not a hard block. 100% local, no tracking.
🌫️ A nudge, not a wall. Blockers make you rebel. DriftGuard takes a different path: on the sites you choose, once your daily time is up, the page gently fades — it slowly desaturates, blurs and dims. You can keep scrolling… but your brain gets the message: time to move on. ✨ HOW IT WORKS • Pick your time-sink sites (YouTube, X, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok… or any site), one click from the popup. • Enjoy your daily budget: 20 free minutes per site per day by default — fully configurable. • Past your budget, the fade ramps up gradually until the site is genuinely hard to watch. • A small banner shows your minutes for the day, with a snooze button — max 2 snoozes per day (2, 5 or 10 min each, you choose). ⏱️ A FAIR COUNTER • Counts only foreground time (if the tab is in the background, it doesn't count). • Shared across tabs and reloads — refreshing or opening a new tab doesn't reset it. • Resets every day. 🎛️ YOU'RE IN CONTROL • Tune desaturation, blur and dim intensity. • Optional: don't blur while actually watching a video (feed previews never count). • Turn it off, or unguard a site, any time. 🔒 100% PRIVATE • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no network requests. • The only data stored is your settings and today's minutes per guarded site — locally, on your device. • Does not record your browsing history. 📧 Support: octonoveads@gmail.com Your attention is yours. Take it back — gently. 🌊
