Overview

Hard refresh, force reload, and clear cache instantly. 5 strategies: cache bypass, empty cache, cache buster, full clear-cache nuke.

NukeRefresh is a Chrome extension built for one job: force a hard refresh on any page that refuses to update. If Ctrl+Shift+R isn't cutting it, or you've tried "empty cache and hard reload" from DevTools and the page still shows old content, NukeRefresh gives you five escalating ways to force reload and clear cache until the page finally gives you a fresh copy. FIVE HARD RELOAD / CLEAR CACHE STRATEGIES Bypass Cache Reload - an API-level hard refresh, equivalent to Ctrl+Shift+R but more reliable, for when the browser shortcut gets intercepted by a page or another extension. Clear Site Cache - clears the cached files for just the current domain, then reloads. A targeted way to clear cache without touching any other site's data. Cache-Bust URL - appends a unique query string to the address so the server treats the request as brand new, instead of serving a cached response. Useful behind aggressive CDN caching. Full Cascade (recommended default) - combines a site cache clear, no-cache request headers, and an API-level force reload in a single click. The most reliable way to force refresh a genuinely stuck page. Clear ALL Cache - the nuclear option. Empties the entire browser cache across every open site, then reloads the current tab. Asks for confirmation first since it affects more than one site. WHO IT'S FOR Web developers checking whether a deploy actually shipped, QA testers verifying a fix, support staff walking customers through a stale cache, and anyone who's tired of hitting hard refresh five times and still seeing the old version of a page. HOW TO USE IT Click the NukeRefresh icon in the Chrome toolbar and pick a strategy, or use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+N (MacCtrl+Shift+N on Mac) to run the default cascade instantly without opening the popup. PRIVACY NukeRefresh doesn't collect data, track browsing, or send anything to a remote server. It reads the current tab's URL only to show it in the popup and to know what to reload or clear. No account, no sign-up, no analytics.
