FrameTranslate lets you select visible text on a webpage and read its translation in a nearby bilingual card. Use the same selection tool for webpage text, images, chart labels, and text in paused video frames. HOW TO USE 1. Open FrameTranslate, use the right-click menu, or press your configured shortcut. 2. Drag to select the text you want to understand. 3. Read the original and translation together. Edit recognition errors and translate again without taking another screenshot. DATA AND REQUIREMENTS OCR runs locally in your browser. Recognized text is sent to Google's translation service, so translation requires an internet connection. No extension account is required. Pause videos before selecting text. Japanese vertical-text recognition is experimental; check the recognized source, especially small kana and punctuation. Blurry images, stylized fonts, and complex layouts may produce recognition errors.
