Overview

Fills job application forms with your saved FixResume answers. You check every answer and press Submit yourself.

FixResume ApplyMate saves you from typing the same answers again and again when you apply for jobs. How it works: 1. Save your resume and answers on fixresume.io (ApplyMate needs an active pass). 2. Connect the extension with a 6-digit code from ApplyMate Settings. 3. Click a job in your ApplyMate list. It opens in a new tab and the extension fills the application form with your name, contact details, resume file and saved answers. A form's work experience, education and skills sections get your resume's jobs, schools and skills, each job and school in its own block ("From your resume: 2 jobs, 1 school and 8 skills."). When your resume has more jobs, schools or skills than the form shows, the panel names the site's own Add button; you press it (and, where the site keeps one entry at a time, its Save first) and the new block fills with your next one. 4. Check every answer. Beside each question we left blank, a short FixResume line says why ("We couldn't answer this from your saved answers or resume. Answer it once and we'll fill it next time."), and answers we wrote from your resume are marked "Check this". The panel sums it up: "Filled 11 of 14. 3 questions need you". When it takes more than a second, the FixResume panel says what it is doing ("Filling your answers…", "Uploading your resume…"; on a long form a bar counts the answers, "6 of 14"), then what came of it. On a form with steps it shows which step you are on ("Step 2 of 4"). 5. Press the site's own Submit button. We add the application to your FixResume tracker, and save the answers you typed into the questions we left blank, so the same questions fill on your next applications ("Saved 3 new answers for your next applications."). See, change or remove them any time in ApplyMate Settings, My answers, "Other saved answers". Only on job sites: • It works on the job sites and hiring systems our users apply on most. On any other company website, it asks first: when you open a job there from FixResume, a small FixResume window asks to allow that one site (press Allow, then Chrome confirms), or press Not now. When a job's form sits on another website (inside the job page, behind its Apply link, or in a separate window the job page opens when you press Apply), the window names that website. You can also fill just that page once. It never asks to read and change all your websites. What it never does: • It never presses Submit, Continue, Next, Save or Add for you. When you press a section's Add, it fills the new block from your resume. • It never adds anything to your application that is not yours. No links, no signatures, no hidden fields, no "sent with" notes. Employers see an application you made yourself. • It never adds anything to the job's link. • It never answers questions about your gender, race, disability, health, veteran status, religion, marital status, age or date of birth, consent or "I certify" boxes, signatures, passwords, government ID numbers, or bank or card numbers. Those are always yours to answer, and your answers to them are never saved. • It never changes a field you didn't ask it to fill: the lines it shows beside questions are its own, outside the form, and are never sent. • It never fills, clicks or changes anything on LinkedIn. On LinkedIn job pages it only notices when you send an application, with LinkedIn's own button, to a job from your ApplyMate list, so the job goes to your tracker, and when you press LinkedIn's "Apply" on such a job, so it can fill the company's form that opens. • It never reads your other tabs or your browsing history.
