Brevity Email
Overview
Select text in a Gmail or Outlook web draft, press a shortcut, get a shorter version with the same tone.
Brevity Email shortens the draft you're writing — right inside Gmail or Outlook web — while keeping your meaning and tone intact. Select a sentence, a paragraph, or leave nothing selected to shorten the whole draft. Press Option/Alt+Shift+S, or click the floating Shorten button. Your rewritten text appears in place, with a one-click Undo if you want the original back. How it works - Select text in a compose window (or select nothing to shorten everything) - Trigger Shorten via the keyboard shortcut or the floating button - The shortened version replaces your draft, preserving greetings, sign-offs, and courtesy where they matter Works in Gmail and Outlook web, on new drafts, replies, and existing saved drafts. Free to use, with a daily limit per install while Brevity is in early access. Your draft text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the rewrite and is not stored by us — see our Privacy Policy for details. Brevity Email is a trading name of Graphics and Graphite Ltd.
