Experimental local Mermaid previews for DOM-backed blocks on Google Docs pages. Native canvas blocks are not supported.

Mermaid for Google Docs is an experimental, open-source extension that previews Mermaid diagrams locally from supported DOM-backed code blocks on Google Docs document pages. COMPATIBILITY Native Google Docs canvas code blocks are not supported in this release. This developer preview is intended for DOM-backed test pages and integration development. It is not yet suitable for everyday use with standard native Google Docs documents. Screenshots show labeled demo fixtures. FEATURES ON SUPPORTED BLOCKS • Live diagram previews as Mermaid source changes. • Preview, Split and Code views. • Zoom controls and an expanded diagram viewer. • Copy Mermaid source or rendered SVG. • Light, dark and automatic appearance. • Global preferences and per-document rendering controls. • Syntax-error feedback that preserves the last valid preview. PRIVACY Diagrams are rendered locally in your browser. The extension does not upload document content, use an external rendering service, or include analytics. Preferences and per-document choices are stored locally on your device. No extension-specific account is required. Google Docs retains its normal account and document-access requirements. Rendering libraries, styles and icons are bundled with the extension. Mermaid image nodes and external-resource CSS are not supported.
