Get your prompts AI-ready before you hit send — right inside web AI chats. As you type into a supported AI chat, Offsend spots API keys, tokens, private keys, passwords, and personal data locally — and lets you mask them before a single character leaves your device. Replies can show the originals again on your screen. Copy still uses placeholders: what the AI saw. Offsend runs only on the AI chat sites it is built for. Host access is limited to those sites. Offsend is not affiliated with those services or their providers. LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN Your prompts never leave the device for scanning. No cloud account. No server-side scanning. No "trust us." The only optional network use is one anonymous "active install" ping per day. It never includes prompt content, findings, or which sites you use. One toggle turns it off. Chrome handles store updates — Offsend has no license server. WHY YOU'LL WANT IT • Catch secrets before AI sees them — emails, phones, API keys, tokens, private keys, cards, and more, detected when you hit send. • See findings as you type — live underlines and a quiet chip on the composer. • Text files are scanned and can be masked. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and text PDFs are scanned on your device but not rewritten. If a secret is still in the file, Offsend says so. Images, scanned PDFs, and old .doc / .xls are marked not scanned. • Always allow a specific value you trust, or add your own regex rules. • Optional Smart PII — off by default. On-device names, organizations, addresses, and places. Nothing is downloaded or uploaded. • Mask, don't lose meaning — sensitive values become stable placeholders like {{API_KEY_1}}. • Reversible Restore — encrypted, time-limited mappings. Conversation text can restore automatically; the composer still has one-click Restore. Copy stays masked. • Zero findings, zero friction — nothing sensitive? Offsend stays out of the way. • Honest about coverage — if a site changes its layout, Offsend reports degraded protection instead of pretending you're covered. HOW IT WORKS 1. You write or paste a prompt and press Enter (or click Send), or attach a file. 2. Offsend scans the text and supported files locally. 3. Nothing found? It sends untouched. 4. Something found? You choose: Mask, Send anyway, or Cancel — or let auto-mask handle it with a quiet toast. 5. A file that cannot be rewritten stays as-is. Offsend will not call it hidden.
