Offline AI Assistant Writer is a privacy-first writing tool powered by Chrome’s built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano). It allows you to process text locally on your machine without ever sending your data to the cloud ( that's what Google says ). FEATURES: - Summarize: Generate TL;DRs, key points, or headlines from any selected text. - Rewrite: Instantly change the tone of your writing to be more formal or casual. - Proofread: Clean up grammar and spelling errors locally. - Translate: On-device translation for supported languages (English, Spanish, Japanese, and more as Chrome expands support). - Drafting: Generate blog outlines, introductions, or email drafts based on your notes. - Standalone Mode: Use the "Full Screen" feature to pop the assistant into a dedicated tab for a distraction-free workspace. PRIVACY BY DESIGN: Unlike traditional AI tools, this extension does not use a backend server or external API keys. All processing happens in your browser’s local environment using Chrome’s native AI capabilities. Your text never leaves your device.
