Chrome Office Viewer (Beta) is a speedy, more secure way to view Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files in your browser with a single click. To open Microsoft Office files, you’d typically need to install additional software. With this extension, clicking a 1997-2013 Office file on the web will open it directly in Chrome - identical to Chrome’s PDF Viewer. Formats supported: .doc .docx .xls .xlsx .ppt .pptx Please note: This extension is already installed on Chrome OS and does not currently support editing. To edit, please import files into Google Drive or use your preferred editing software.
