Your feed. In disguise. Office Disguise transforms Reddit and X into a familiar workplace-style interface. Browse posts in an inbox or conversation list, open them in a reading pane or chat thread, and choose from four included themes—all using the site session already open in your browser. FOUR FAMILIAR LOOKS Choose between: • Outlook-inspired — a blue email workspace with folders, message list and reading pane. • Gmail-inspired — a clean, light inbox with familiar navigation and layout. • Slack-inspired — a workspace-style sidebar with posts presented as conversations. • Google Chat-inspired — a chat-style home screen with posts displayed as direct messages and replies. All four themes are currently included at no charge. Themes marked “Coming Soon” are not available yet. A DIFFERENT WAY TO READ YOUR FEED • Browse Reddit and X posts in an inbox or conversation list. • Open posts without leaving your feed. • View the original post first, followed by available comments and replies. • Display images, videos, links and quoted posts inside the reading area. • Search using each site’s own search. • Use supported social actions through the site’s native controls. • Navigate communities, notifications, saved posts and supported feed sections. • Resize the message or conversation list to give either side more room. • Keep the original Reddit or X interface hidden while supported pages load. MAKE EACH THEME YOURS • Customise the application header and browser tab titles. • Use an optional theme-matching favicon—replacement is off by default. • Show or hide theme-specific decorative interface elements. • Choose light or dark conversation surfaces in the Slack-inspired theme. • Show or hide the Mail, Chat and Meet rail in supported themes. • Switch to compact message rows. • Show feed items as read without changing their real Reddit or X read state. • Collapse folders, images or videos by default. • Enable Reddit and X independently. • Save a different message-list width for each theme. KEYBOARD FRIENDLY Move through posts without reaching for the mouse: • Next post — Arrow Down • Previous post — Arrow Up • Open selected post — Enter • Close the selected post — Escape • Reply using the site’s native controls — R • Focus search — / • Show the original site — Alt + Shift + O Every in-page shortcut can be changed, disabled or reset. Escape closes extension menus or the selected post while keeping the disguise enabled. Chrome-managed shortcuts can be changed through Chrome’s extension shortcut settings. STAY IN CONTROL Office Disguise never submits a social action by itself. Voting, liking, replying, following and other supported actions use the controls already provided by Reddit or X. When you need the normal website, choose “Show original site” or use the default Alt + Shift + O shortcut. Empty, unsupported or signed-out pages keep the disguise visible and provide a clear option to open the original page. LOCAL SETTINGS. NO EXTRA ACCOUNT. Office Disguise does not require its own account and does not send your feed or browsing history to the developer. The extension processes supported page content locally to create its alternative interface. Preferences and temporary reading or navigation state remain on your device. There is no developer analytics or tracking service. Reddit and X continue to handle your sign-in, media requests, advertisements and social actions. Using their native controls has its normal effect on your account. GET STARTED 1. Install Office Disguise in desktop Chrome. 2. Open Reddit or X and sign in through the site’s own page if needed. 3. Open the extension settings and choose a theme. 4. Adjust the appearance, display and keyboard options to suit you. 5. Browse your feed in its new workplace-style layout. GOOD TO KNOW Office Disguise is a visual reading interface. It is not an email or chat client, anonymity service, privacy shield or security product. It does not hide browsing from employers, network administrators, monitoring software or the websites you use. Decorative workplace controls are included to complete each theme’s appearance. Controls that do not map to a real Reddit or X function are intentionally non-interactive. Compatibility may change when Reddit or X updates its interface. Some unsupported content may require you to open the original site.
