Crumbless cleans up the cookies and site data that websites leave in your browser and skips the sites you protect. Free, with no ads, no account and no subscription. WHY CRUMBLESS • Protect what matters. Mark your mail, bank or work sites with one click. Automatic cleanup skips them, and it also skips sites that are open in a tab. • Safe automation on your terms. Automatic cleanup is off until you turn it on. The extension does not guess which sites you no longer need: it cleans the sites that match the rules you choose - after you close a site, when the browser starts, on a schedule, or sites you have not opened for a set number of days. • A clear Dashboard. See how many cookies were removed, cleanups by day and the sites cleaned most often. The activity log shows what was cleaned on each site and what was skipped and why. • No ads, no account, no tracking. There is no server, and nothing is sent to anyone. All data stays on your device. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a site you sign in to, click the Crumbless icon and tap the shield to protect it. 2. In the Dashboard, turn on automatic cleanup and choose when it runs. 3. Keep browsing. Sites that match your rules are cleaned, and the result is recorded in the activity log. WHAT THE ACTIVITY LOG SHOWS • Cookies: the number of cookies the browser confirmed as removed. • Cache and other site data: that the browser carried out the cleanup for the site. The browser does not report how much data was removed or how much space was freed. • Skipped: what was not cleaned and why, for example no access to the site, or data that could affect a protected or open site. FEATURES • Protection permanently or until the browser restarts. Up to 5,000 protected sites, no paywall. • Sites open in a tab are skipped, including discarded tabs. • Clean the current site from the popup: its cookies, its cache and other data it stores in your browser. • Cookies are removed one by one after checking their domain, path and partition, including partitioned cookies. • Clear your browsing history or the downloads list by hand, with confirmation. Downloaded files are kept. If your browser syncs your history, the browser also deletes it on your other signed-in devices. • Light and dark theme. Interface in 20 languages. YOU STAY IN CONTROL • Automatic cleanup is off until you turn it on. • Nothing is cleaned for the first 90 seconds after the browser starts, so your tabs can be restored first. • Site data other than cookies and the regular cache are removed only with your separate consent. The browser removes them for the whole address of a site, which can also reset that site's widgets embedded in other websites. So automatic cleanup removes them only when nothing could be affected: no protected sites, no sites protected until restart and no open tabs. Otherwise they are skipped and the activity log says why. • Cleaning a protected site by hand asks for confirmation first. SITE ACCESS - ONLY WHEN YOU ASK The extension needs no access to websites when you install it. Cleaning the cookies of one site asks for access to that site only. Automatic cleanup asks for access to all websites, or only to the sites you choose, after an explanation of what it will do. The history and downloads permissions are requested the first time you use those buttons. GOOD TO KNOW • The browser does not tell extensions whether you are signed in. The extension skips the sites you protect and the sites open in tabs, but it cannot promise that a sign-in will be kept. • Sign-in often happens on another domain, for example your company's identity provider. Protect that domain as well. The Dashboard lists common sign-in providers. • Passwords are not deleted. PRIVACY Crumbless works on your device. It has no server, its code makes no network requests, and it sends nothing to the developer or anyone else. It stores your protected sites, settings and local statistics in the browser's extension storage. While automatic cleanup is on, it also keeps a list of the website and host names you visit with the time of your last visit - never page addresses. This list is erased when you turn automatic cleanup off, clear history in the extension or reset statistics. To find the cookies to remove, the extension receives each cookie from the browser together with its value; it uses only the details that identify the cookie, such as its name and domain, and never uses, stores or sends the value. Passwords, form data and page content are not read. Crumbless is free: all automation and up to 5,000 protected sites, no subscription.
