Odoo Office Attachment Preview

Privately preview DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX attachments inside Odoo Chatter.

Preview supported Word, Excel, and PowerPoint attachments directly inside Odoo Chatter. FEATURES • Read DOCX documents in a page-style view with search, page navigation, zoom, fit modes, heading outline, copy, safe links, and printing. • Inspect XLSX workbooks in a read-only grid with worksheet tabs, row and column headers, frozen panes, cell details, A1 navigation, worksheet or workbook search, copy, safe links, and printing. • Move through PPTX presentations using slide thumbnails, previous and next controls, and keyboard navigation. • Use Arabic or English, light or dark appearance, and independent Word and Excel zoom preferences. • Keep Odoo’s original Download and Remove actions unchanged. HOW TO USE 1. Open an Odoo backend page that contains Chatter attachments. 2. Select the extension and enable preview for the current Odoo site. 3. Select a supported attachment card or its Preview button. 4. Use Manage allowed sites to review or revoke access at any time. PRIVACY Files are requested directly from the Odoo site selected by the user and processed locally in the browser. Documents and extracted content are not uploaded to Tarmez Al-Arabiya, analytics services, or external document viewers. The extension has no advertising, analytics, telemetry, or remote executable code. PERMISSIONS Site access is optional and requested for one Odoo origin only after the user selects Enable. Storage keeps enabled origins and display preferences locally. Tab access identifies the current Odoo origin, and scripting adds or removes preview controls on enabled sites. LIMITATIONS The extension supports DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX files in Odoo backend Chatter. Legacy DOC, XLS, and PPT files and macro-enabled Office files are not previewed. PowerPoint animations, transitions, audio, video, macros, and embedded applications are not executed. Preview is optimized for practical reading and is not a pixel-perfect replacement for Microsoft Office.
