Overview
Save and auto-apply Odoo debug mode per website for support and admin workflows.
Odoo Auto Debug remembers the debug mode you want for each Odoo instance and applies it automatically, then surfaces the runtime context you would otherwise dig for in the developer tools. Built for people who work across many Odoo databases every day: support engineers, functional consultants, implementers and QA. DEBUG MODE, PER SITE • Choose None, debug=1 or debug=assets for each Odoo instance separately • Turn on Auto enable and the mode is reapplied every time you open that site • Settings are keyed to the origin, so your staging, production and local instances each keep their own configuration CONTEXT AT A GLANCE When debug mode is active, a floating panel shows what you are actually looking at: • Odoo version of the current instance • The technical model behind the current view (for example sale.order) • The view's XML ID, and the root view it inherits from • The view type Every value has a one-click copy button. Pin the ones you use most and they stay at the top of the panel. YOUR OWN FIELDS Define the fields you care about, per model, from the extension popup: *: id, uuid res.partner: email, phone sale.order: client_order_ref, amount_total Use * to apply fields to every model. On a record, their live values are read and shown in the panel alongside the built-in context, ready to copy. Fields that do not exist on the model are clearly marked rather than silently dropped. COPY TECHNICAL NAMES FROM THE UI On form and list views, small copy buttons appear next to Odoo's own developer tooltips, so you can lift technical names straight out of the interface: • Field names, from form labels and list column headers • x2many field names on embedded lists and kanbans • Method names on smart buttons and action buttons • Selection and status bar values, including the full list of options for a field PRIVACY This extension sends nothing anywhere. It has no analytics, no telemetry and no third-party servers. The only network request it makes is to the Odoo instance you are already logged into, using your existing session, to read the field values you asked it to display. Your preferences are stored locally in the browser. REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES • The context panel and field values require debug mode to be active • Field values are read with your own Odoo permissions; you see only what your user can already access • Site access can be restricted at any time from chrome://extensions, under this extension's Site access setting, if you prefer to limit it to your Odoo hosts Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Odoo S.A.
