Converts imperial measurements on recipe pages (oz, lb, cups, °F, inches) to metric, in place.

Most of the internet's best recipes are written in cups, ounces and Fahrenheit. remetric rewrites those measurements to metric directly in the page text, so a recipe reads as if it had been written in grams, millilitres and Celsius from the start. No copying numbers into a converter, no arithmetic at the stove, and nothing about the page changes except the numbers. WHAT IT CONVERTS • Weight: oz, ounces, lb, pounds and sticks of butter → g and kg • Volume: fl oz, cups, pints, quarts and gallons → ml and l • Temperature: °F, degrees F and Fahrenheit → °C, rounded the way cooks write it (350°F → 175°C) • Length: inches and pan sizes such as 9x13 inch → cm • Fractions (1/2, 1 1/2, ½), ranges (350–375°F, 1 to 2 cups) and spelled-out numbers (two cups) WORKS WHERE RECIPES LIVE Ingredient lists, method steps and the story before the recipe. Recipe cards from plugins such as WP Recipe Maker, which put the amount and the unit in separate elements, are handled. Content that appears later, like a servings adjuster changing the amounts, is converted as it shows up. ONE SWITCH Click the toolbar icon to turn remetric off and the original text comes straight back. Turn it on again and the page is metric. PRIVATE BY DESIGN remetric runs entirely in your browser. It reads page text only to rewrite measurements, stores nothing but your on/off setting, and sends no data anywhere. Teaspoons and tablespoons are left as they are, since metric recipes use them too.
