Overview

OctoTools provides GitHub <-> JIRA overlays

OctoTools extends the GitHub issues view and the JIRA detail view for issues to help cross-link these two systems when being used together. It will also extend the Zube issue detail view, if you're using Zube. Users can configure OctoTools on a per-repository basis, to link a GitHub Repsoitory to a JIRA server and project. When configured, OctoTools will detect JIRA project references in GitHub issue comments and translate these into links as well as adding a new JIRA panel to the issuer detail which is populated by dynamically fetching data from the associated JIRA issue. In addition, when configured, when viewing JIRA issues, OctoTools will look for GitHub issue references and fetch data for that associated GitHub issue and display that on the right-hand panel of the JIRA issue detail. OctoTools makes it easy to cross-manage issues in JIRA and GitHub!
