OC Ad Bye-Pass

An open-source ad blocker. It removes video ads before they play, and blocks ad and tracker requests on every other site.

OC Ad Bye-Pass — a fast, open-source ad blocker. Most blockers hide ads after the page has loaded. OC Ad Bye-Pass works one step earlier. Where ads arrive mixed into the same response as the content you asked for — as they do inside many video players — it strips them out of the data before the page ever renders them, so there is nothing to skip or hide. Everywhere else, it blocks ad and tracker requests at the network level, so they never load in the first place. What it does • Blocks 160,000+ ad and tracker domains using declarativeNetRequest, the modern blocking API — drawn from EasyList, EasyPrivacy, AdGuard, and List-KR for Korean sites, with extra coverage for Naver and other domestic portals • Removes in-stream ads that come bundled into a video player's response, and hides feed, banner, and overlay ad slots • A live badge shows how many ads were blocked on the current tab Yours to control • Turn it off for any site with one click • Add your own hiding rules • A remote filter list keeps rules current without reinstalling • Interface in English and Korean Privacy It collects nothing. Your browsing is never sent anywhere — the only network request it makes is downloading filter lists from GitHub. Fully open source under the GPLv3.
