Obsecurea

Locally filters sensitive images and explicit language, blocks common ads, and syncs your Obsecurea exclusions.

Obsecurea helps adults and families reduce exposure to unwanted content while browsing in Chrome. Image Shield checks supported images locally on the device and covers images that may contain nudity or sexual content. Features include: • Local image filtering with a clear Sensitive content detected cover • Protection against website click-to-reveal image blurs • Local masking of common vulgar and explicit language • Blocking of common third-party advertising networks • Adult PIN protection for setting changes and image overrides • Synced site and image exclusions selected by the account owner • Account controls for licenses, devices, and signed-in app sessions Image and page-text checks run locally. Ordinary browsing activity and checked images are not sent to Obsecurea for classification. An Obsecurea account and active license are required for connected protection. No automated filter catches every image, and some safe images may be covered. The current release filters supported HTML images; video and CSS background images are not currently covered.
