Overview

Check any image on the web: verified, AI-generated, or unverified? NPC Verify checks the record and the file, in plain words.

Is this image real? NPC Verify checks an image against the NPC registry and tells you, in plain words, what it found. Open any page, click NPC Verify, pick an image. You get one clear answer: Verified. The image is on the record. A creator registered it with NPC Labs, and the answer you are reading is signed by NPC and checked against NPC's published keys before the check mark appears. Verified with caveats. The image is registered, and the record itself carries caveats. You see them before you decide anything. No record found. Nobody has registered this image with NPC yet. That is not the same as fake, and NPC Verify will never pretend otherwise. Under the answer, three layers show their work: 1. Provenance. Whether the image is on the NPC record, and what the record says. 2. Forensics. What the file itself declares, read on your device: embedded software tags and known generator markers. Findings are reported as findings. Absence of a marker proves nothing, and the extension says so. 3. AI judgment. Not in this version. The panel says "coming soon" instead of guessing. What NPC Verify never does: It never calls an image fake because it is unregistered. It never shows the check mark without a verified, signed record. It never uploads the images you check. The registry lookup sends a hash of the image address, not the image and not the address. Forensics run on your device. Creators: if your work keeps coming back "No record found," register it. Verification starts at verify.npclabs.xyz. NPC Verify is free to use. The first 10 checks are on us.
