Overview

A keyboard-first window and tab manager.

Tabd is a keyboard-first manager for your currently open Chrome tabs and windows. Find the tab you need, select tabs across windows, and organize them without leaving your keyboard. FEATURES • Search tab titles, URLs, and domains with fuzzy matching for titles and domains. • Navigate with Arrow keys or Tab / Shift+Tab, and select tabs with Space, Shift+Arrow, or modifier-click. • Keep selected tabs visible in a dedicated card while searching or filtering. • Move, pin, mute, suspend, reload, copy URLs, group tabs, close duplicates, and merge windows. • Drag tabs to reorder or move them between windows. • Open the Manager as a pinned tab, normal tab, detached window, or Chrome side panel. • Use light or dark themes and the built-in Help guide. • Confirm bulk closing actions with clear target counts. GET STARTED 1. Click the Tabd toolbar icon, or press Command+Comma on Mac / Ctrl+Comma on Windows or Linux. The default surface is a pinned Manager tab; choose another in Settings. If the shortcut is already assigned, configure it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 2. Type to search. Use Arrow keys to navigate. Enter moves from Search to the first result, then activates the highlighted tab from the List. 3. Press Space from the List to select tabs. Use the Selected-tabs card for bulk actions. 4. Press Command+K on Mac / Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux to open the command palette. Actions state which tabs or window they affect. 5. Open Help for the full keyboard guide. PRIVACY Tabd operates locally using Chrome's extension APIs. It has no analytics or telemetry and does not send tab data to external servers. Preferences are saved in Chrome's local extension storage. It manages currently open tabs; it does not save sessions or sync tabs between devices. Requires Chrome 116 or later. On Chrome 116–140, use Chrome's own close control to close the side panel; Escape can close that surface on Chrome 141 or later. SUPPORT Email victorlabs108@gmail.com for help or feedback.
