Does work.... BUT one major issue with it... Once checked... you also can NOT reply to someone... it will never be seen as sent... Even after disabling the extension again.

IT WORKS for me. You just have to click the icon from the top bar of your browser and tick on the check box that reads "Block read status from messenger" then refresh your facebook or messenger and you're good to go..
