Hover over one to see its approximate INR value and the rate used. The tooltip is small and lightweight. The page's own text and layout stay exactly as they were. WHAT IT UNDERSTANDS • US dollar ($), euro (€) and pound sterling (£), converted to Indian rupees (₹) • Indian formatting: ₹2.25 lakh, ₹180 crore, ₹8.97 lakh crore • Plain amounts: $2,499, €49.99, £1,200 • Word magnitudes: thousand, million, billion, trillion • Short forms: k, m, mm, mn, b, bn, t, tn (for example $2.5k, $20mn, $1.5bn, $2tn) A currency symbol is always required, so NumTrans never treats ordinary numbers such as years, view counts or ratings as money. Other dollars (A$, CA$, S$, HK$, NZ$) are skipped rather than mistaken for US dollars, and US$ is supported. APPROXIMATE BY DESIGN Conversions use daily reference exchange rates from the free Frankfurter API and are rounded for readability. They are not live trading quotes and shouldn't be used for financial decisions. If a fresh rate can't be fetched, NumTrans shows the last saved rate and labels it with its date. PRIVACY • Page text is processed locally in your browser, only to find currency amounts. It is never stored or sent anywhere. • The only network request fetches an exchange rate, and it contains just the currency pair (for example USD/INR). It never includes page content, URLs or identifiers. • The storage permission keeps one exchange rate per currency per day on your device. • No account, no login, no NumTrans servers, no analytics or tracking. Amounts written as "USD 500" or "500 dollars" aren't detected. • Some sites split an amount across separate page elements, and those amounts may not be detected. • Content inside embedded frames isn't scanned.
