Open WhatsApp Web and sign in with your phone, as you normally would. 2. Paste your numbers into Numsift, or upload a CSV, XLSX or TXT file. Every number needs its country code. 3. Press start. Watch the live progress, then export the result to Excel, CSV or your clipboard. That is the whole product. It reads whether a number is registered — nothing else. YOU SET THE PACE Hammering any service with rapid automated requests is a bad idea, so Numsift does not do that. Three speeds are available — Safe, Balanced and Fast. Whichever you pick, the first lookups of every run are deliberately slowed as a warm-up, the gaps between lookups are randomized rather than fixed, and the run pauses for a cool-down at regular intervals. If WhatsApp stops answering, Numsift stops by itself instead of pushing on. To be straightforward with you: no tool can promise that heavy automated activity carries no risk, and you should be skeptical of any that claims otherwise. PRIVACY Every lookup goes through the WhatsApp Web session already open in your browser. There is no relay server, no upload, and no account sharing. Your phone numbers are never transmitted anywhere. They are held in your browser's local storage so your work survives closing the popup, and they are removed when you clear the list or sign out. Numsift does not read your messages, your chats or your contacts — it only asks whether a given number is registered. Signing in with Google is required, and only your basic profile — name, email and picture — is used to identify your account. No. Numsift only asks whether a number is registered. It cannot send, schedule or draft anything. Can I check numbers without saving them to my phone contacts? Yes. Nothing is added to your address book. That is the main reason people use a tool like this instead of doing it by hand. Do I need the WhatsApp Business API or a paid API key? No. It works through the WhatsApp Web session you are already signed in to. How many numbers can I check? There is no limit set by the extension. Large lists simply take longer — the on-screen estimate tells you how long before you commit. Does it read my chats or download my contacts? No. It has no access to message content and does not export your contact list. What happens to numbers it cannot resolve? They are marked as unverifiable rather than guessed at, kept separate from the registered and not-registered groups, and included in the export so you can retry them. Why does it need my country code? Without a country code the same digits can belong to several countries, and there is no dependable way to pick the right one. Numsift will flag any number that is missing it before you start.
