NUFF.WORK: Website Blocker, Screen Time, Pomodoro & Dark Mode
Overview
Website blocker, pomodoro and focus timer with music, screen time tracker, dark mode, sleep and eye care. History stays in Chrome.
Twelve tools for the hours you spend at a screen — a website blocker, a pomodoro timer, screen time tracking and dark mode for any site — in one extension that keeps your history on your own computer. Most extensions do one thing and want your browsing history for it. This one does twelve, and asks for nothing: no account, no sign-up, no upload. Install it and every mode works immediately. 🚫 WEBSITE BLOCKER — block distracting sites on a schedule Block every distracting site at once for free, permanently or by time of day — or keep a list of ten. The block screen is protected against pages that try to hide it with their own styles, and you can lock the settings behind a password so that the version of you at 2 a.m. cannot undo what you decided this morning. Works on the sites that actually eat the evening: social feeds, video, news, shopping. Add exceptions when you need one page from an otherwise blocked domain. 🍅 POMODORO TIMER — work in rounds, with real breaks The classic 25 / 5 / 15 rhythm is free for everyone: twenty-five minutes of work, five-minute breaks, a long break after the fourth round. Distracting sites stay closed while a round runs, and music keeps playing across the break so you do not lose the thread. Rounds are counted honestly — the timer keeps running when the browser sleeps, because time is measured from real clock marks rather than a countdown that pauses with the tab. PRO adds a rhythm of your own: any work length, any break, any number of rounds before the long one. 📊 SCREEN TIME TRACKER — see where the hours went Time on every site, by day, week, month and year, with a breakdown by mode: how long you spent in focus, in pomodoro rounds, resting, on tasks. Charts are drawn from your own data, and the whole history stays available forever — no paywall on looking at your own past. Nothing about a visit leaves your browser. We record a domain and a number of minutes; never the address of an individual page, never its contents. 🎯 FOCUS MODE — deep work with music that fits it A full-screen focus session with six genres of exclusive background music you will not find on streaming services: ambient, neoclassical, lo-fi, chillhop, future garage, synthwave. Ambient and neoclassical play for free; the other four come with PRO. Pick the sound that matches the work — lo-fi for routine, ambient for reading, future garage when you need momentum. It doubles as study music for anything that needs an hour of quiet attention. Wallpapers change with the genre. Blocking runs during the session, so a focus session is not a suggestion. 🌓 DARK MODE — a dark theme for any website Turn any bright page dark, with brightness and contrast you set yourself. Images keep their colours, and sites that are already dark are left alone instead of being inverted twice. Works everywhere or only on the sites you choose; PRO adds a schedule — for example after sunset. The browser's own pages, like Settings and the Web Store, stay as they are: no extension is allowed to restyle them. 🌿 ZEN MODE — ambient sounds and a breathing guide Forty-two ambient sounds you can mix into your own soundscape — white noise, rain, forest, ocean, fire, birds, city, cafés, trains. The nature set is free and PRO opens the rest. Add a breathing guide — box breathing, 4-7-8, and other techniques — with a circle that expands and contracts, so a break lasts two minutes rather than turning into another scroll. 🌙 SLEEP MODE — protect the end of the day Blocks distracting sites at bedtime on the schedule you set, so the last hour before sleep does not become another hour of feeds. Screens push back the moment you fall asleep; this mode is the reminder your evening does not give you on its own. 🔆 NIGHT LIGHT — a blue light filter inside the browser Pages warm up in the evening the way a lamp does, with the warmth set by you and applied where you say. It reduces the blue channel of the colour itself, so even a plain white background goes warm — something a sepia tint cannot do. Separate from dark mode, with its own site list and its own evening schedule, because a dark theme is for all day and warmth is for the last hours of it. 🌬 BREATHING — nine rhythms, two minutes each Box breathing, 4-7-8, coherent breathing at six cycles a minute, the physiological sigh and five more. The circle leads and each phase lasts exactly what the rhythm says. One rhythm — two in, four out — is free, started by hand whenever a message lands badly; PRO adds reminders on a schedule and the other eight. 👁 EYE EXERCISES — the 20-20-20 rule, guided Sixteen eye exercises with a ball to follow, plus timed reminders to look away from the screen. Eye strain from hours at a monitor is not solved by wanting to blink more often — it needs a prompt, at the right moment, that takes twenty seconds. ✅ DAILY TASKS — three things that actually get done A short daily to-do list with reminders at the interval you choose. Unfinished tasks are not deleted at midnight: they wait, and in the morning you decide whether to carry them over or let them go. Streaks show how many days in a row you finished everything you wrote down. 🎭 SHIFT — who you are today Eight ready-made archetypes — the Learner, the Creator, the Athlete and others. Choose one for the day and get reminders written as positive affirmations of identity rather than orders. The Productive and the Learner are free; PRO opens the other six. Every tab you open is a vote for the person you are becoming; Shift keeps that vote visible. 🔒 YOUR STATISTICS NEVER LEAVE THIS DEVICE This is the part that makes nuff.work different, and it is worth being precise about. Browsing statistics are written to storage inside your own browser and stay there. With no account, the extension makes no requests to our servers at all — you can verify this yourself in the Network tab of DevTools. Uninstall it and that history goes with it. Compare that with what popular blockers declare in their own Chrome Web Store listings: collection of web history, and in some cases user activity and website content. We declare none of it, because there is none. An account is optional. It holds an email address and a subscription status. Nothing else — no history, no site list, no schedules. Sync across devices, if you turn it on, does not go through us either. The extension writes to a hidden folder on YOUR OWN Google Drive, one that Google creates for this extension and that no other app can see. The file is in your account, the access token is issued to you, and we hold no copy and no key — we could not read it if we wanted to. You can check its size, and delete it, in Google Drive under Settings → Manage apps, without asking us. You can export everything into a file at any moment, with no subscription. It is your history; charging you to look at your own past is exactly the practice this was built against. 🆓 WHAT IS FREE All twelve modes. Blocking on every site, on a schedule, with password protection. Unlimited tasks. Your entire history, forever. The classic pomodoro rhythm. Dark mode on every site. The 20-20-20 timer and eye exercises. The free plan is not a demo with the good parts removed. ⭐ WHAT PRO ADDS All six music genres and the full sound library, the other eight breathing rhythms and advanced eye exercises, every Shift archetype, a pomodoro rhythm of your own, scheduling for dark mode, night light and breathing reminders, and sync between your devices through your own Google Drive. If PRO turns out not to be worth it, write within 14 days and we refund in full. 👤 WHO THIS IS FOR People who work at a screen and lose the evening to it. Students who need to stop procrastinating long enough to finish the reading. Anyone who has caught themselves opening the same site three times in five minutes without deciding to. If you have tried a site blocker before and uninstalled it after a week, the usual reason is that blocking alone is punishment. This extension gives the hour somewhere to go: a rhythm, music, a list, a break for your eyes, and a picture of where the time actually went. 🌍 NINETEEN LANGUAGES English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The interface follows your browser, or you can pick a language by hand. ❓ QUESTIONS Do you see which sites I visit? No. See the section above — with no account the extension makes no requests to our servers. Does it work offline? Yes. Blocking, tracking, tasks, dark mode and eye exercises run locally. Only the music and sound libraries need a connection. Can a site bypass the block screen? No. The overlay is protected against pages that try to hide it, and weakening a rule can be locked behind a password. Will it slow my browser down? No. Dark theme results are cached per domain, so styles are not recalculated on every page you open. Support and answers: https://nuff.work/support
