NudeNyang Web Translator translates visible webpage text using the separately installed NudeNyang Windows companion while preserving links and page structure. Use the popup or a keyboard shortcut to translate and restore the original text. Requirements Windows 10 or Windows 11 and NudeNyang Windows companion 0.7.3-beta are required. The companion must be running. Download a local AI model in the companion to use local translation. The extension does not include a translation model. Webpage translation • Translate visible headings, paragraphs, lists, quotations, and image captions. • Preserve links, emphasis, and the existing page structure. • Choose the translation language from the popup. • Start translation manually or enable automatic translation for selected websites. • Use local AI or an external translation provider explicitly selected in the Windows companion. External services may require their own account or subscription. Optional web-messenger translation Web-messenger reading is off by default. It requires both the companion setting and explicit privacy consent in each browser profile. Consent is not shared between browsers. The feature translates eligible visible text in supported, identifiable conversation views using local AI only. In web Discord, this also includes link-preview text in the current conversation and visible channel names in the current server. Messenger text is not sent to external translation providers or saved in ordinary disk caches, translation history, or message-body logs. The extension keeps its copies in temporary memory and clears them when the conversation changes or ends, or consent is withdrawn. Drafts, contact lists, send actions, attachments, and image contents are excluded. The extension does not compose or send messages. Privacy and limitations Generic webpage translation excludes password fields, editable inputs, account, login, payment, and order areas. Browser-internal pages and local files are not supported. Some text may remain untranslated when a site's structure is unsupported. Local AI processes text on your computer. For ordinary webpage translation, text is sent to an external provider only if you select that provider. The developer does not operate a server that collects translation content.
