Convert PDFs to images, merge documents, split pages and compress PDFs directly in Chrome. PDF Local Tool processes files locally in your browser without uploading them to an external conversion service. PDF TO JPEG • Convert multiple PDFs in a batch. • Choose 150, 300 or 600 DPI rendering resolution and three JPEG quality levels. • Download individual images or a ZIP organized by source PDF, preserving source file names. LARGE PREVIEW AND ROTATION • Open thumbnails in a large preview with zoom and drag-to-pan controls. • Rotate JPEG previews left or right in 90-degree steps. Rotation applies to JPEG and ZIP downloads. • Mark pages as reviewed to help check conversion results. MERGE PDFs • Arrange multiple PDFs in your preferred order and combine them into one document. • Choose an output file name. The output page count is verified after merging. VISUAL PDF SPLITTING • Load one PDF and inspect its page thumbnails. • Click the scissors between adjacent pages to set a split point; click again to remove it. • See page groups update immediately, without typing page ranges. • Open a large preview with zoom and previous/next page controls. • Split using original PDF pages, retaining text, images, vectors and page dimensions without rasterizing the output. • Output file names include the source name and page range. Download files individually or as a ZIP. • Each output and the total page count are verified before downloads become available. COMPRESS PDFs • Choose High quality, Balanced or Smaller file. Balanced is the default. • Rebuild the PDF locally from JPEG images, processing one page at a time. • View progress, original size, output size and the percentage change. • If the result is not smaller, the tool recommends keeping the original while still allowing you to download the result. • The output page count is verified before download. LOCAL PROCESSING AND THREE LANGUAGES No account or sign-in is required. No ads, analytics or telemetry are included. The tool reads only the local PDFs you select or drop into it and does not request access to browsing history or other websites’ content. Available in Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese. The interface initially follows your browser language. You can switch languages and remember your preference locally while retaining files, split points, compression settings and results. HOW TO USE Click the extension icon, open the tool, select a feature tab, then select or drop your PDF files. LIMITATIONS • Up to 100 MB and 500 pages per file. JPEG conversion and merging support up to 20 PDFs per feature tab, with a maximum of 500 pages per batch. Splitting and compression process one PDF at a time. • Canvas pixel, thumbnail and output size limits also apply. Higher resolutions use more memory and take longer to process. • Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Keep your original files and check the results. • Splitting removes attachments, forms, non-link annotations and links that cannot be retained safely. Only supported page links within the same output are rebuilt. • Merging and splitting may invalidate digital signatures and may not preserve bookmarks or other interactive document structures. • Image-based compression may remove text search, text selection, hyperlinks, bookmarks, forms and other interactive content. A smaller file is not guaranteed. • OCR, PDF text editing and secure redaction are not provided.
