A Chrome extension that uses Gemini AI to clearly explain and summarize text selected on a webpage in both English and Japanese.

Selection Explainer - AI は、Webページ上で選択した文章をAIが日本語と英語で解説・要約するChrome拡張機能です。 文章を選択すると「解説」ボタンが表示され、以下の3つのモードから説明方法を選べます。 ・かんたん：初心者にもわかりやすく説明 ・詳しく：背景や専門用語も含めて詳しく解説 ・要約：重要なポイントを短く整理 解説中はローディング表示が出るため、処理中であることがわかります。 また、表示された解説は「×」ボタンやボックス外のクリックで閉じることができます。 本拡張機能は、ユーザーが選択して解説を実行した文章のみを、解説・要約の生成のためにバックエンドサーバー経由でGoogle Gemini APIへ送信します。 "Selection Explainer - AI" is a Chrome extension that uses AI to explain or summarize text selected on a webpage in Japanese and English. When you select text, an "Explain" button appears, allowing you to choose from three explanation modes: ・Simple: An explanation that is easy for beginners to understand. ・Detailed: A comprehensive explanation covering background information and technical terms. ・Summary: A concise overview of key points. A loading indicator appears during the explanation process so you know the task is underway. The displayed explanation can be closed by clicking the "×" button or clicking outside the box. This extension sends only the text selected by the user—and for which the explanation function was triggered—to the Google Gemini API via a backend server to generate the explanation or summary.
