Overview

Scan webpages for WCAG accessibility issues, highlight failures, and export local reports using axe-core.

ADA Compliance Scanner is a free accessibility checker for developers, designers, and website owners. Scan webpages for common WCAG accessibility issues, inspect affected elements, and export practical findings using the locally bundled axe-core engine. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 2.4.0 • Keep results beside your webpage with the optional Chrome side panel. • Review every affected element using Previous, Next, and Locate controls. • Get beginner-friendly explanations of common issues, who they affect, and how to verify a fix. • Read clearer scores shown out of 100 and notices for asset-dependent checks that need manual review. • Enjoy improved interface contrast and keyboard navigation. FEATURES • Automated checks mapped to WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 • Violations organized by severity, with separate Needs review and Passed results • Affected HTML elements, CSS selectors, and on-page highlighting • Contrast guidance and suggested CSS fixes • Local JSON report export • Copyable AI fix prompts for coding assistants of your choice • Tab-specific results that clear on page navigation and flag same-document route changes HOW TO USE Open a regular webpage, click the extension icon, and select Scan page. Expand a finding to inspect its elements and guidance. Choose Open side panel to keep the results visible while reviewing the page. Re-scan after changing the page or its layout. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS Scans run locally in your browser when you start them. Results may be stored temporarily in Chrome session storage. Reports are not uploaded by the extension; you choose whether to export or copy them. The bundled testing engine may request the page's stylesheets or media to evaluate relevant checks. Optional site access supports embedded cross-origin frames and continued side-panel scanning after navigation. Automated checks do not certify accessibility or legal compliance. Keyboard testing, screen-reader testing, and human review remain important. Chrome restricts scanning on internal browser pages and the Chrome Web Store. Side-panel features require Chrome 116 or later. Learn more: https://getadascanner.com/
