NC Page Saver
Overview
Save a snapshot of your current page as one self-contained HTML file, preserving form entries, scroll positions, and visuals.
NC Page Saver saves the page you are looking at as one self-contained .html file, frozen exactly as it is on screen right now. Click the toolbar icon and choose "Save page", or press Alt+Shift+S. A single .html file lands in your Downloads folder. Open it later in any browser, even offline: everything the page needs is packed inside. Useful for receipts and order confirmations, research and reading notes, bug reports, documentation, and anything you want to keep the way it looked. WHAT GETS SAVED - Styles: read from the page's live styles, so rules added by scripts at runtime (CSS-in-JS libraries) are included. @import is inlined. - Images, fonts, icons and CSS backgrounds: embedded in the file, including files served from other domains. - Form state: typed text, checkboxes, radio buttons, selects and text areas. Passwords and file inputs are never saved. - Canvas: the current pixels, saved as an image. - Video: the current frame, used as the poster. - Shadow DOM: open and closed shadow roots and their styles, saved as declarative shadow DOM. - iframes: every visible frame, cross-origin and nested frames included. By default frames are merged into the page, so the saved file contains no frames at all and needs no network. Each merged frame keeps its own isolated styles and fonts. - Scroll: the page and its scrollable areas reopen where you left them. Page scripts and event handlers are removed so the snapshot doesn't re-render and lose its state. The only script left in the file is a small one that restores scroll positions. OPTION: MERGE IFRAMES INTO THE PAGE On (default): frames become part of the page and the file is fully self-contained. Off: frames stay as embedded frames with their captured content inside. The setting is remembered and also applies to the keyboard shortcut. PRIVACY Everything happens locally in your browser. The extension has no account, no analytics and no tracking, and sends nothing to the publisher or any third party. Frame addresses are written without their query string, which often carries login tokens. LIMITATIONS - Frames that refuse extension scripts (sandboxed frames, browser error pages) can't be captured. They get an "Embedded content unavailable" placeholder, or keep their address when merging is off. Each can take up to 10 seconds to time out. - In a merged frame, position: fixed content is pinned to the frame box but scrolls with the frame's content. - Fonts whose files can't be downloaded are dropped, so text falls back to the next font. - Open dialogs, popovers and hover states aren't captured. - WebGL canvases may save blank. - Video and audio streams aren't embedded; only the current video frame is kept. - Pages protected by Chrome (chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store) can't be saved.
