### Notilo — Enhanced Text Highlighter & Note Taker Turn any webpage into a research canvas. Notilo lets you highlight text in multiple colors, attach notes, organize with categories, quickly search on-page notes, and export everything — all without accounts or cloud sync. ### What you can do - **Highlight text on any site**: Choose from six readable colors (Yellow, Pink, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange). - **Attach notes to highlights**: Add context, thoughts, or to‑dos right next to the text. - **Organize with categories**: Tag notes as General, Important, To‑do, Research, Quote, or Idea. - **Find it fast**: Open the in‑page search overlay to filter across all notes on the current page. - **Export your work**: Download a clean TXT file of a single note or all notes on the page. - **Stay focused**: Minimal UI with Material Design 3 styling that feels native to the web page. ### How it works 1. Select any text on a webpage. 2. Click the floating “+” button to create a highlight and note. 3. Recolor or categorize any time. 4. Use the extension button to open search or export your notes. ### Designed for privacy - **No account. No analytics. No ads.** - Notes are stored locally on your device via the browser’s storage. - We don’t collect your browsing history. Only the URLs where you choose to save notes are stored locally to organize your notes per page. - Optional one‑time welcome notification after install (only if you grant the optional permission). ### Free vs Pro - **Free**: Create up to 10 notes across all sites. - **Pro**: Unlock unlimited notes. License is validated securely; no note content is sent anywhere. (More Coming Soon) ### Permissions explained - **Storage**: Save your highlights, notes, and preferences locally. - **ActiveTab**: Run actions you request (open search, export) on the current tab. - **Scripting**: Inject the content script on demand if it’s not already running, so search/export work reliably. - **Notifications (optional)**: Show a one‑time welcome/what’s new notification after install. - **Site access (all websites)**: Needed to render highlights and note UI on pages you choose to use the extension on. ### Compatibility - Works on most websites.
