A: Quiethours applies a visual overlay to remind you you're in focus mode. It does not hard-block access — you can dismiss the overlay if needed. Q: Does it work when Chrome is closed? A: Focus rules use Chrome Alarms, which require Chrome to be running in the background. Chrome itself does not need to be in the foreground. Q: Can I pause a focus session mid-way? A: Yes. Disable the rule toggle in the popup at any time to end the session early. Q: Will it interfere with video calls or other work tools? A: No. Quiethours does not block network requests — it only adds a UI overlay. All web apps continue to function normally. Q: Is my schedule shared with anyone? A: No. Your focus schedule is stored exclusively on your device using Chrome's local storage. Nothing is sent to any server.
