Notewell lets you highlight text and pin sticky notes to any web page, then keep it all in one private, searchable place. There is no account, nothing goes to the cloud, and it all stays on your device. Select any text and pick a color to highlight it, or drop a sticky note anywhere on the page. Add a note to a highlight, tag it, and it is saved instantly. When you come back to a page later, your highlights find their spot again. What you can do: - Highlight text on any page in your choice of colors, with a full custom color picker on top of the built-in palette. - Pin draggable sticky notes anywhere on a page, and add notes to your highlights. - Tag anything, give each tag its own color, and recolor highlights by tag. - Browse everything on a private board: search across highlights, notes, tags, and sites, and filter by type, color, tag, or site. - Right-click or use keyboard shortcuts to highlight, add a note, or open the board without leaving the page. - Export a JSON backup you can re-import, or a Markdown copy of your notes, any time. Everything Notewell saves lives on your own device in the browser's local storage.
