NotePane is a fast, focused notes app that lives in your browser's side panel, so your notes are always one click away while you browse. ✦ A real editor, not a text box • Rich text: headings, bold, italics, links, quotes and code blocks • Type "/" for the command menu to insert headings, lists, to-dos, code and more • Checkbox to-do lists for tasks and checklists • Paste Markdown and it's formatted automatically • Export any note to a Markdown file ✦ Organise without the clutter • Pin important notes to the top • Set a priority on each note • Instant search across every note's title and content • Trash with restore, so nothing is lost by accident ✦ Capture from anywhere • Right-click any selected text → "Save selection to note" • Open the side panel with Ctrl+Shift+L (⌘+Shift+L on Mac) • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+N new note, Ctrl+K search, Ctrl+S save, Ctrl+B toggle sidebar ✦ Offline-first, synced to your own Google Drive • Notes are saved in your browser first, so writing and search work offline • Changes sync automatically to a "NotePane" folder in your own Google Drive • Sign in on another computer and your notes come with you ✦ Private by design • NotePane can only see the files it creates, never the rest of your Drive • Your notes go straight between your browser and your Google Drive. NotePane has no servers of its own. ✦ Share when you want to • Create a read-only link to any note, and turn it off whenever you like ✦ Easy on the eyes • Clean monochrome design with light and dark themes
