NoteKS

Keep private notes on people you see on x.com and get reminded with a star icon. Includes encryption, themes, and backup.

NoteKS is an independent extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. "X" is a trademark of its owner. NoteKS lets you keep personal notes on people you come across on x.com. No more wondering "who is this again, why am I following them?" — whenever they show up in your feed, on their profile, or in a repost, a ★ appears next to their name. Click it and your note is right there. HOW IT WORKS • Click the ★ (or the faint + next to someone with no note yet) and write your note • That ★ automatically shows up wherever that person appears again — feed, profile, reposts • Click the ★ to see your note history, add new notes, edit them, attach a photo, or follow links you saved HIGHLIGHTS ★ Notes grouped by person, collapsed like folders in the popup ★ Photos and clickable links inside notes ★ 5 themes (Minimalism, Dark Mode, Neobrutalism, Brutalism, Claymorphism) — pick whichever fits your taste ★ Customize the badge icon — emoji, short text, or your own image ★ Optional encryption — protect the text and photos of your notes with a master password (usernames are not hidden); auto-locks on browser close or after a couple of minutes idle ★ Backup — export your notes as a .json file anytime, and restore them later PRIVACY Your notes, photos, settings, and encryption keys never leave your own device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking code. The one exception is entirely optional: "Report & Feedback" in the settings panel opens a Google Form in a new tab with technical details filled in for you (your browser and OS, the extension version, and the last error message, if any). You can read everything before deciding; nothing is sent unless you press Submit in that form, and your notes are never included.
