NoteKrypt Browser Extension connects Chrome to the NoteKrypt desktop app, giving you secure browser access to your encrypted vault. Features: - Autofill saved usernames and passwords on matching websites. - Offer to save a new login after you sign in. - Detect changed credentials and offer to update the existing saved login. - Clip the current web page into an encrypted NoteKrypt note. - Keep credentials in the NoteKrypt vault instead of browser storage. Requirements: The NoteKrypt desktop app must be installed and running, and the vault must be unlocked before Autofill, login saving, login updates, or page clipping can be used. The extension clearly indicates when the app is closed or the vault is locked and provides an action to open NoteKrypt. Privacy and security: Vault secrets are encrypted and managed by the local NoteKrypt desktop app. The browser extension does not retain passwords or vault secrets in Chrome storage. Submitted credentials are sent to the local app only so NoteKrypt can, with the user's confirmation, save a new login or update an existing one. Page content is processed only when the user explicitly chooses Clip Page. The extension does not execute remotely hosted code.
