Noted AI is a lightweight Chrome extension that silently records your meetings, transcribes them, diarizes speakers, and generates structured AI summaries. No bot joins your call. No one else can see your recordings. The tool is completely free and opensource on Github, all you need is your own Groq API Key! 📘 Quick start - Open Settings and save your Groq API key. - Go to the Rec tab, pick the meeting tab, then click Record. - A recorder tab opens (keep it open so audio can play back). - Chrome mutes the captured tab by default. To hear audio, click Enable Audio - Monitoring in the recorder tab or the popup while recording. - Click End when you’re done. The recording appears in Log. - Open the recording to rename speakers, generate a summary, or download Markdown or Pdf. 📗 Features - Focused capture — the extension only listens to the meeting tab (not system audio). - Work uninterrupted — recording continues while you switch tabs or multitask. - Live control — pause, resume, and stop recording from the popup with a running timer. - Readable transcripts — Whisper + LLaMA turn audio into a clean, speaker‑labeled transcript you can edit. - Helpful summaries — generate structured Markdown summaries with your own custom instructions. - Simple sharing — export transcripts and summaries as .md for Notion, Docs, or GitHub. - Private by default — no accounts; audio only leaves your machine to Groq’s API. Everything else happens fully on your machine! 📕 Limitations - Overlapping speech — diarization can confuse speakers when people talk over each other. - Many speakers — accuracy drops as speaker count grows, especially beyond 2–3 voices. - Muted tab behavior — Chrome mutes captured tabs by default; you must enable monitoring to hear playback. - Audio quality — low volume, noise, or echo can reduce transcription accuracy.
