Overview

Generate native 9:16 NotebookLM Shorts from your CSV or XLSX topics in your signed-in browser.

Turn your topic list into a streamlined NotebookLM Shorts workflow. NotebookLM Topic Shorts Automation helps you create native vertical video requests from a CSV or Excel topic list. Import your ideas, customize your storytelling instructions, and let the extension work through your queue in your signed-in NotebookLM account. KEY FEATURES • CSV and Excel import — Import topics from .csv or .xlsx files. Blank and duplicate topics are automatically skipped. • Automatic notebook creation — Create a separate NotebookLM notebook for each topic. • Web-source discovery — Discover and import sources through NotebookLM’s Web / Fast research interface. • Native vertical Shorts — Select NotebookLM’s native Short video format with a 9:16 aspect ratio. • Custom storytelling instructions — Use your own prompt to guide the tone, structure, and presentation of each video. • Keep the queue moving — Once NotebookLM acknowledges a generation request, the extension moves to the next topic without waiting for the video to finish. • Deferred generation — Use Generate later when NotebookLM explicitly offers it for an applicable usage limit. • Queue controls — Pause, resume, skip topics, and recover interrupted jobs. • Saved progress and exports — Keep notebook links, source counts, job phases, and errors locally. Export your results as CSV. • Local queue cleanup — Delete imported topics and local progress without deleting your NotebookLM notebooks or videos. HOW TO USE Sign in to NotebookLM in your normal Chrome browser. Open the extension and import your CSV or Excel file. Review or customize the video instructions. Start the queue and keep the managed tab open. Open the saved notebook links to check your generated videos. REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS A Google account with access to NotebookLM and native Short video generation is required. Use NotebookLM’s English interface and keep your computer awake while the queue is running. Google’s account eligibility, generation limits, service availability, and any plan charges apply. This extension does not increase quotas or bypass restrictions. “Generating” and “Queued” indicate acknowledged requests, not finished videos. Videos remain in NotebookLM; the extension does not download them or publish them to social platforms. Video duration is controlled by NotebookLM and may exceed 60 seconds. NotebookLM interface changes may interrupt automation. Review generated content for accuracy, source permissions, and platform requirements before publishing.
