Note Pro is a notepad that lives in your browser's side panel, so you can write without leaving the page you are reading. It has no account and no server. Every note stays in your own browser. WRITE ALONGSIDE WHAT YOU ARE READING Open the panel next to any page and start typing. If a note belongs with a particular page, you can attach it there and it will come back on its own the next time you visit. You decide whether it follows one exact address, that page, or the website as a whole. KEEP THINGS IN ORDER Notes can be grouped into workspaces for separate areas of your life, and into projects and folders within those. You can colour-code them by category or label them with your own words. Anything you need to reach quickly can be starred, and anything you have finished with can be archived instead of deleted. FIND WHAT YOU WROTE Search reads the body of your notes, not only their titles, and it covers your labels, checklist items and saved pages as well. When a plain search returns too much, you can narrow it to a single label, to notes from one website, to notes that still contain unfinished work, or to anything that has gone past its date. A PROPER EDITOR The editor handles more than plain paragraphs. You can lay out a table, drop in a block of code and have it coloured for readability, write a mathematical formula, or sketch a flowchart. Checklists, pictures and attachments all sit inside the note itself. TURN NOTES INTO TASKS Any checklist you write into a note also shows up in the Tasks view, where it can carry a date and a priority. The note stays the source of truth, so ticking something off in either place keeps both in step. SAVE PAGES WORTH KEEPING The bookmark manager holds a page together with your rating, a read-later flag, and whatever you want to write about why you kept it. CONNECT RELATED NOTES Putting a note's title in double square brackets links the two together. Each note shows both what it points to and what points back at it, so a scattered set of notes gradually turns into something you can navigate. LOCK WHAT IS PRIVATE The vault keeps chosen notes behind a single password. Their contents are encrypted before they are stored, they are never written out in readable form, and they stay out of search results until you unlock it. There is no way to reset that password. That is the point of it, so keep it somewhere safe. TAKE YOUR WORK ELSEWHERE A note can be saved out as a PDF when you need to print or hand it over, or as plain Markdown if you would rather carry on editing it in another program. Several other formats are available, and you can do this for a single note or for a whole workspace at once. SHARE WITHOUT A SERVER You can write a note out to a file, protect it with a passphrase if you want to, and send it however you normally send things. Because no server is involved, what the other person receives is a copy, and their edits will not come back to you. WRITING HELP THAT RUNS ON YOUR OWN MACHINE Where Chrome supplies its own built-in models, Note Pro can shorten a long note, explain a passage you did not follow, reword something more clearly, pull out the things you agreed to do, or translate it. All of this happens on your computer, so the text never leaves it. Chrome downloads the model the first time you use it. If your browser does not offer these models, the feature stays out of sight. PRIVACY Note Pro makes no network requests. There are no accounts and no analytics, and because it injects nothing into web pages it never touches what you are reading. Your notes live in your own browser profile, which also means that removing the extension deletes them, so there is an export option in Settings for keeping your own backup.
