Notate is a Chrome extension for annotating the web directly. Add notes to specific elements on live webpages, organize them into folders, and return to exactly where each idea came from. Instead of saving screenshots, collecting disconnected bookmarks, or leaving dozens of tabs open, Notate keeps your notes attached to their original context. ANNOTATE DIRECTLY ON LIVE WEBPAGES Click New, select any element on a page, and add a notation. Move your notation anywhere on the page to keep it positioned where it makes sense. ORGANIZE AS YOU GO Save notations into folders to group related ideas, references, research, or projects. Create and manage folders without leaving the page you're browsing. RETURN TO THE SOURCE Notate remembers the webpage and element connected to each notation. Open a saved notation to return to the original page and jump directly back to what you annotated. KEEP THE WEB IN CONTEXT Use Notate for design inspiration, research, planning, comparison shopping, or anything else you discover online. Your references stay connected to what you noticed, where you found it, and why you saved it. Notes are stored locally in Chrome. No account required. Browser-internal pages cannot be annotated.
