Not Yet — Website Blocker
Overview
A gentle website blocker: pause distracting sites with a countdown, schedule focus hours, and fade them to grayscale.
Not Yet is a Chrome extension that adds a short pause before distracting websites. Instead of blocking a site for good, it shows a calm countdown — then lets you decide whether to open it. It is for people who want to protect focus time and spend less time on autopilot: work, study, a book, or a quieter evening. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add a site you want to pause — YouTube, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, news, shopping, or any other domain. 2. Choose how long the pause should be, from 0:00 to 99:59. 3. Open the site. The countdown appears; when it ends, the site opens normally. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Set a pause that fits you. One minute is a good start; some people prefer 10 seconds, others 5 minutes. • Schedule blocking hours. Pause sites only during a chosen window, such as 9:00 AM–6:00 PM on workdays. Outside that window, sites open freely. • Use 0:00 mode. Set the wait to zero to skip the pause entirely. If Uglify is on for a site, it still applies. • Turn on Uglify. Make a site grayscale, faded and softly blurred so it stops pulling you in. Toggle it per site. • Hide domains. Blur site names in the list when you share your screen or take a screenshot. • See your stats. A simple counter shows how often the pause appeared and how often you chose to open anyway. • Pause everything. The power switch turns the extension off without deleting your site list. WHY NOT YET • Gentle by design. No permanent blocks, no shame, no streaks to break. You can always go back. • Works with any site. Add the sites that pull you in; leave the rest alone. • Quiet and private. No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads. Settings and statistics stay on your device. • Available in 10 languages: English, 简体中文, हिन्दी, Español, العربية, Português, Русский, 日本語, Français, Deutsch. PRIVACY Settings and statistics are stored locally with chrome.storage.local. The extension reads the current page domain only to decide whether to show the pause; it does not store a browsing history and never sends data anywhere. GOOD TO KNOW • Not a hard blocker: the site opens after the countdown, or you can go back. • Blocking hours are optional and off by default. • Works in incognito windows once you allow the extension there. • No remote code. Pause. Breathe. Decide.
