Not So Fast: Learn Before You Scroll
Overview
A troll guards your time-wasting sites. Answer a few quick questions to get in, and learn something every time.
Not so fast, buddy. You open Reddit without thinking. A troll pops out of the river and asks you three quick questions first. Get them right and Reddit is yours for 15 minutes. Or take the hint and walk away. Every time you try to waste time, you learn something instead. WHAT YOU CAN LEARN • World capitals, all 194 countries • Flags of the world, in both directions • Spanish, 458 everyday words and phrases • US state capitals • The US citizenship civics test, 120 official questions • The periodic table • AI and LLM terms, and new topical packs as they come out • Your own decks: paste from Quizlet, Anki, or a spreadsheet HOW IT WORKS • Pick the sites that eat your day. Nothing else is touched. • Choose how many right answers it takes: 1, 3, 5, or 10. • Miss one and it comes back until you know it. Cards you know well show up less often. • Pass, and the site stays open for 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Then the troll is back. • Or walk away. That counts as a win. FUN, NOT A PRISON Streaks, sound effects, confetti, and a troll with opinions. It's friction, not a lock. You can always leave. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No tracking. No ads. Your sites, answers, and stats never leave your browser. Chrome asks your OK for each site you guard, so the extension can only see the sites you choose. Made by Brian Meise. The troll first guarded a bridge in 2012.
