Not Another Friend Sweeper
Overview
See which Facebook friends actually engage with your posts and tidy up your friend list. Friend data stays in your browser.
Not Another Friend Sweeper shows you which of your Facebook friends actually engage with your posts, and helps you tidy up your friend list on your own terms. Your friend data stays in your browser. Over the years a friend list fills up with people you met once, old classmates, former coworkers and accounts you don't remember adding. Facebook doesn't tell you who still interacts with you. Not Another Friend Sweeper does. It scans your friends and your own posts, scores every friend by their visible reactions and comments, and suggests who you might remove. You review everything and decide who goes. WHAT IT DOES 1. Scan your friends A Facebook tab opens and loads your friends list: each friend's name, profile link and photo. It uses the same requests the Facebook page makes, so even a large list comes back quickly. A second pass reads the "Recently added" tab to record how recently you became friends with each person. 2. Scan friend dates Reads the Friends section of your Activity Log, which lists each "became friends with..." event under a date. This records the real date you became friends with each person, so you can sort friends from newest to oldest. 3. Scan engagement Goes back through your own timeline posts over a time window you choose and records which friends reacted to or commented on each one. Each interaction is dated with the post's own date, so "Last engaged" shows when it actually happened, not when you ran the scan. Re-run the scan every week or two and the history adds up. Duplicates are removed automatically. 4. Score and suggest Every friend gets a simple, transparent score: reactions plus two times comments. Friends with no recorded engagement are marked "suggested" so they're easy to find. Suggestions are only suggestions. Nobody is removed unless you select them and confirm. 5. Protect the people you want to keep Click the star next to any friend to protect them. Protected friends are never marked "suggested" and are always skipped by removals, even if you select them by mistake. You can protect or unprotect many friends at once. Protected friends are hidden by default to keep your clean-up list short, and you can show them again with one click. 6. Remove the friends you choose Select friends in the dashboard, check the confirmation, and the extension unfriends that selection in one Facebook tab. Removals are spaced out with random pauses of at least 30 seconds and limited per run (20 by default). You can cancel at any time and follow progress in the dashboard. 7. Scheduled scans (Pro) Keep your engagement data up to date without thinking about it. Choose how often (every 6 hours up to once a week), which scans to run and how far back to look. Each scheduled run opens a Facebook tab, runs the scans you picked and closes the tab. Only read-only scans can be scheduled. Removals are never scheduled. 8. CSV export (Pro) Download your friend list with scores, friend dates and last-engaged dates as a spreadsheet file. This is a good idea before removing anyone, so you keep a record. THE DASHBOARD Everything happens in one full-page dashboard: - Sort by least engaged first, most engaged first, last engaged (oldest or newest), or friend date (newest or oldest friends first). - Filter to "No engagement only" to see the quietest connections straight away. - Search by name. - Show 25 to 200 friends per page and move through large lists with the page buttons. - "Select all on page" selects everyone on the current page. "Select all matching" selects everyone who matches your current filter. Your selection is kept as you move between pages, and you can always see and clear what's selected. - Buttons show how many people each action will actually affect, and the remove confirmation tells you how many protected friends it will skip. - A progress banner shows what's running and offers a Cancel button while a job is in progress. - The toolbar popup shows quick stats and opens the dashboard. WORKS ACROSS YOUR COMPUTERS If you use Chrome (or Microsoft Edge with extension sync turned on) on more than one computer under the same browser profile, your friends, protected list, removals and settings are kept in step through your browser's built-in sync. Protect someone on your laptop and they're protected on your desktop too. Detailed per-post history and profile photos stay on each computer, and each computer fills those in on its next scan. Scheduled scans run on only one of your computers per interval, so they don't repeat. FREE AND PRO PLANS You need a free Not Another Friend Sweeper account to use the extension. YOUR PRIVACY Your friend data stays in your browser. - Your friends list, friend dates, engagement history, scores and protected list are stored on your own computer, in the extension's browser storage. - If you use browser sync, a compact copy is synced between your own browsers by Google (Chrome) or Microsoft (Edge), under their privacy policies. - We never receive your friends' names, profiles, photos, posts, reactions, comments or engagement data. We never learn who you removed. What our website does receive: - Your account email address and sign-in details, so you can sign in. - Your plan and subscription status, so the extension knows which features to turn on. - A count of how many removals you made this month (a number only, never who), so the free monthly limit can be applied. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details. No ads. No analytics or tracking scripts in the extension. We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it for credit or lending purposes. "Delete all friend data" in the dashboard settings wipes the friend data the extension has stored, on every browser it syncs with. Full privacy policy: https://notanotherfriendsweeper.com/privacy YOU'RE ALWAYS IN CONTROL - Every scan and removal is started by you, either with a click or, for scans only, by a schedule you turn on yourself. - Removals are never scheduled. They run only after you select people, review the confirmation and confirm. - Anything that's running can be cancelled from the dashboard. Closing the Facebook tab also stops it. - Removal pacing is adjustable in Settings: 1 to 100 removals per run, and the pause between removals can be set but never goes below 30 seconds. - Protected friends are never removed, even if they are selected. - Everything happens in your own logged-in Facebook session, in a normal browser tab you can watch. HOW TO GET STARTED 1. Install the extension. 2. Click the extension icon and choose Sign in. Create your free account or sign in on notanotherfriendsweeper.com with email or Google. The extension unlocks automatically. 3. Make sure you're logged in to Facebook in the same browser. 4. Open the dashboard from the extension icon. 5. Run "1 · Scan friends". A Facebook tab opens. Leave it alone until the on-page message says it's finished. Large lists can take a few minutes. 6. Run "2 · Scan friend dates" to record when you became friends with each person. 7. Pick how far back to look and run "3 · Scan engagement". This is the slowest step, because it reads every post in the window you chose. 8. Sort by "Least engaged first" or filter to "No engagement only", protect anyone you want to keep, select the people you want to remove, and click "Remove selected". Tip: run the friend scan before the friend dates scan, so dates can be matched against your full, current friend list. IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW - Facebook's terms restrict third-party tools that act on your account, and Facebook may limit or block accounts that take many actions quickly. The extension spaces out removals and limits each run, but you use it at your own risk. Keep removal runs small and spread them over several days. If Facebook shows an "action blocked" warning, stop for a few days. - Unfriending can't be undone by the extension. Pro users can export a CSV first to keep a record. - Engagement isn't the same as friendship. Someone who never reacts to your posts may still be a close friend who reads quietly. The score only counts visible reactions and comments on the posts that were scanned. Review the suggestions before you act on them. - Facebook must be set to English while you use the extension, because it looks for English button labels. - The extension works on the Facebook website (www.facebook.com and web.facebook.com) on desktop. It doesn't work in the Facebook mobile app. - Facebook changes its site often. If a change breaks a feature, the extension falls back to reading the page and shows a clear message saying what didn't work. Some features may stop working until an update is released. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED - Storage: saves your friend list, engagement history, protected list and settings in your browser, and syncs them between your own browsers. - Alarms: spaces out removals and runs scheduled scans at the times you choose. - Access to www.facebook.com and web.facebook.com: reads your friends list, Activity Log and your own posts, and sends unfriend requests for the friends you selected, inside your logged-in session. The extension runs only on Facebook pages and doesn't read any other sites you visit. - Website connection to notanotherfriendsweeper.com: lets the website's sign-in page pass your sign-in to the extension.
