Nostalgift — Historical Gifts for Telegram
Overview
Adds 11 retired 50-Star gifts to Telegram Web's Send a Gift popup. Payment always happens in Telegram's own interface.
Nostalgift adds 11 retired Telegram gifts back into Telegram Web's own Send a Gift popup. Telegram's early 50-Star gifts — the Christmas Tree, the Valentine's Heart, the Easter Bunny Bear and eight more — were tied to occasions that have passed, so the gift picker no longer offers them. Their IDs still work. Nostalgift puts them back where you would expect to find them. HOW TO USE IT 1. Open a private chat on web.telegram.org/k/ — with someone else, or your own Saved Messages. 2. Open Telegram's own "Send a Gift" popup for that chat. 3. Under "Historical gifts", pick a gift. Check the recipient, the gift name and the 50-Star price shown next to it. 4. Optionally add a short note, or turn on "Hide My Name". 5. Press "Continue in Telegram". Telegram's own payment popup opens. You pay there, in Telegram's interface, or you close it and nothing happens. THE GIFTS Christmas Tree and Christmas Bear (December 31), Heart and White Bear with Heart (February 14), Pink Bear (March 8), Leprechaun Bear (March 17), Bear Clown (April 1), Easter Bunny Bear (April 12), Builder Bear (May 1), Football Bear (July 19), CS Bear (August 12). Each costs 50 Stars, the price Telegram charges. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • It never submits a payment. It stops at Telegram's payment popup and never presses a payment button for you. • It never retries a failed or timed-out request. • It works in private chats, including Saved Messages, where it sends the gift to you. Groups and channels are not supported. • It has no recipient search. The recipient is always the person whose chat is open, and the extension shows you that name before anything happens. • It accepts only its 11 built-in gift IDs, and before continuing it re-checks with Telegram that the price is exactly 50 Stars. If Telegram answers with anything else, it stops. PRIVACY Nostalgift contacts no server. It has no backend, no analytics, no accounts and no storage, and it never reads your messages, your contacts or your credentials. Everything it needs is already on the page in front of you. All of its code, including the animation player, ships inside the extension package. The only file it ever loads is one of its own bundled gift animations, and the only web addresses it can request are the three Telegram donation invoices described below, which do nothing unless you choose one. SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPER After Telegram's payment popup opens, the section offers three Telegram Stars amounts — 1, 10 and 100 — as a way to support the developer. Each one is a reusable invoice Telegram issued in advance; choosing it asks Telegram Web to open Telegram's own Stars payment window, exactly as the gift itself does. This is entirely voluntary and separate from your gift. The extension holds no token, works out no amount and handles no money. GOOD TO KNOW Nostalgift depends on internal parts of Telegram Web that Telegram can change at any time. When that happens the extension reports that it is incompatible instead of guessing. A gift that costs 50 Stars today can be withdrawn or restricted by Telegram later. A successful check is a check at that moment, not a guarantee. Sending a gift spends real Telegram Stars. Read the recipient name on screen every time before you continue. Nostalgift is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Telegram.
